Overnight Dog & Puppy Training & Boarding Classes

For some vacations, business trips, or other travel plans, not all destinations are pet-friendly or pet-accessible. While that usually means boarding or kenneling for a couple home pack members, you can maximize this time away by combining the boarding with some overnight dog and puppy training you may have been putting off for the right moment.

OVERNIGHT DOG & PUPPY TRAINING

Amy is a certified member of the National K-9 Dog Trainers Association and AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator that shares the belief of promoting and maintaining the highest business and ethical standards in the training and care of dogs and owners. Combined with her BA Psychology Degree, Amy and Homestead Dogs provides optimal training results for puppies and packs.

Overnight dog and puppy training provides a regimented training environment for the dogs and puppies that is free from normal family interruptions and distractions that can occur.

OVERNIGHT BOARDING & KENNELING

Homestead Dogs is located in quiet, serene Delaware County just north of Franklin County and the nearby Powell, Dublin, and Worthington suburbs. In addition to our spacious kennels, we have a large, secure play area for socialization and exercise following the training.

Making new friends, we also offer pool days, bubble games, and obstacle and agility activities.

At Homestead Dogs Training and Boarding, we take pride in offering enrichment activities to stimulate your puppies mind and body. Our mission is to provide exceptional experience for your puppy while you enjoy your time away.

A Kaleidoscope of Personalities

Just like the kaleidoscope of dog colors, shapes and sizes, there’s an equal variety of traits and personalities. Dogs are largely companion creatures now, however, humans have been breeding dogs for centuries trying to enhance characteristics the owner, tribe or community valued to perform a function, like fetching, herding, protection, or, literally, being cute (the 1%’ers).

Breed characteristics are a major consideration when considering a dog as they have different tolerance and activity levels. Some breeds adapt well to new environments, scenarios and other pets, people and children. Likewise, some dogs were bred to run all day while others require very minimal exercise. Put these traits in contrasting environments and the dog will have difficulty adapting. The increasing number of mixed breeds adds another variable.

Dog training establishes and translates the communication signals for a much smoother transition for owner and pet. We’ll get to know you, your pet and the home activity to establish the most effective dog training and behavior program for your environment.
