Meet Amy.

Amy Durfey, owner and head dog trainer for Homestead Dogs, has always been an animal lover. Her interest in understanding people and animals guided her to a BA in Psychology from the University of Kentucky followed by becoming a certified professional trainer from National Canine School for Dog Trainers in 2009. Since then she has continued her education through many workshops and conferences learning new skills and methods of training.

Amy has taught obedience classes through Dublin City Schools Continuing Education Program for 4 years and has trained hundreds of dogs over her 10-year training career. These life and educational experiences have enhanced Amy’s ability to match the appropriate technique to each individual dog. Her goal is to help families create a happy, healthy bond between them and their best furry friend.
